     Peter Abbs was a yeoman and oatmealmaker at Runton, Norfolk, England.4,5,6 He married Agnis (?) before September 1656.6 Between 1661 and 1701, Peter Abbs acquired copyhold in two parcels of three roods and two roods, respectively, at Gresham, Norfolk, England, from his brother, Richard Abbs, which parcels Richard Abbs had acquired as son and heir of their father, Richard Abbs.7 Peter Abbs held the office of constable between 7 January 1664 and 22 February 1665 at Runton, Norfolk, England.8 He pressed charges against an unknown person for stealing yarn and selling it for 17d the dozen at Kelling fair between 29 September 1664 and 22 February 1665 at Runton, Norfolk, England.9 He was listed in the Hearth Tax Assessment of 25 March 1666 as a resident of Runton, Norfolk, England, in a house containing three hearths.10 On 9 November 1671, Peter Abbs leased the 2 great closes and Old Hall yard at Sustead, Norfolk, England, from William Windham.11 Circa 1682, Peter Abbs leased 10 parcels containing 30 acres and 1/2 rood including 7 parcels in Aylmerton field at Aylmerton, Norfolk, England, from William Windham These were the parcels previously leased by Peter's brother, Richard Abbs, until Richard defaulted on his rents.12 On 5 November 1701, Peter Abbs granted copyhold in two parcels of three roods and two roods, respectively, at Gresham, Norfolk, England, to William Abbs which parcels Peter Abbs had acquired from Richard Abbs.1 Peter Abbs married Elizabeth (?) before 1706.13 Peter Abbs died circa 1706 at Runton, Norfolk, England.14 Peter died intestate and his estate was probated in February 1706 at Archdeaconry of Norfolk, Norwich, Norfolk, England. Elizabeth Abbs, his widow, was appointed Administratrix of his estate.14

     On 22 February 1663 at Gresham, Norfolk, England, William Abbs and John Flaxmanwere bound by Justice of the Peace Robert Doughty to indict and give evidence against Robert Duffield of Sustead for stealing of vetches.2 William Abbs was listed in the Hearth Tax Assessment of 29 September 1664 as a resident of Aylmerton, Norfolk, England, in a home containing one hearth.3 He lived on 16 November 1670 at Aylmerton, Norfolk, England.4 On 16 November 1670, William Abbs leased the Bush Close and the Hill Close at Norfolk, England, from William Windham.5 Based on William Windham's Green Book accounts, William Abbs and Thomas Abbs appear to have shared the responsibilities under William's 11-year tenancy of the Bush Close and the Hill Close, as various debt and credit entries are attributed to Thomas or William, respectively.6 William Abbs died before 15 April 1700.7,8
